Time to C.A.R.E
It’s time to care - and by that I mean care for yourself a bit better. Give a bit of time back to you.
We spend so much time running around like lunatics we so often forget to check in with ourselves. Well-being is becoming that word that everyone mentions, everyone knows we need to do more of (especially in these bonkers times) and yet we don’t do it. I still think that sometimes we are all a bit TOO British to turn the care on ourselves.
I firmly believe in the world of communications, marketing, content, digital, PR - whatever label you want to put on the sector - we are all pleasers, plate-spinners and dare I suggest martyrs to the cause of marcomms. This mainly means that we spend our time giving, answering those 'can you just' emails and failing to put ourselves - and our health - first.
Statistics show that we need to - uncertainty, fear and anxiety have plagued 2020 and more than ever we have to look after ourselves so we can look after others, look after our businesses and make those moments count.
So how can you do well-being without the w*nky? Well, with me obviously…
On Monday, 28th September Mind The Gap is opening the doors to a FREE five day Facebook challenge where the good work starts with you. Targeted at freelancers, consultants and small business owners, my C.A.R.E in Comms challenge will provide five days of habit hacks, top hints and tips to help you thrive by investing in yourself through the C.A.R.E. in Comms framework.
So what the bejesus is C.A.R.E in Comms. Well it's all about taking care of yourself. Tier one of the framework and what will be covered (at pace) in the challenge group is all about choice, it's about the application of that choice. It's about giving yourself reasons to believe in you and it's about expectation and belief - which all together now stands for .... C.A.R.E.
All delivered with practical hints and tips, no jargon, just real applications of habit hacks that can and will provide a boost, provide a bit of time to realise how important this self-care stuff is and crucially how to do it without constantly chanting Namaste (although that's an option too).
Five days where you set aside a little time for you, to make sure you are fit for purpose. Because the good work has to start with you.
