When passion, purpose and potential collide
FoundHer Fire is nearly a year old and I thought I would share why it exists.
There’s a moment in your work where everything connects.
You’re in a room with a woman who is delivering at a high level, holding everything together, spinning more plates than anyone can see, and quietly asking herself, “Is this it?” You’ve seen it in corporates. You’ve lived it yourself. You’ve heard it echoed again and again through your clients, your podcast, your rooms.
And that is where FoundHer Fire begins. The FoundHer Fire Society launched last May and is a membership community, a collective, a network, a peer to peer advisory, a room where women of a certain life stage belong that bridges careers, businesses, sectors, self-funders and organisations.
FoundHer Fire is a natural evolution of my work, built from the patterns I’ve seen up close over two decades (and some ; )) in leadership, culture and performance. It takes what I know works, behavioural science, deliberate practice, real-world leadership application, and wraps it in something women can actually use in the middle of their lives, not on a quiet Sunday with a notebook.
It exists because the current system splits women in two. Leadership development focuses on capability. Wellbeing focuses on coping. Community offers connection. But no one joins it up in a way that holds under real pressure. FoundHer Fire does. It is a self-leadership scaffolding system that helps women see clearly, decide with integrity and move forward with intention, without burning themselves out.
It exists because it is what I needed, born out of knocking on doors of rooms and never feeling like I could quite belong. Doors that opened a crack and said, come in but only so far. Rooms where I never felt I could be me. Where I was told I was a square peg in a round hole, so instead of celebrating my square peggedness, I dimmed my fire to fit in, not stand out.
It exists because I couldn't find my place that matched the reality of my life and the women I was working with. Women carrying the commercial load, the emotional load, the cognitive load and the life load, all at once. Women who were capable, experienced and still asking bigger questions about what comes next. So I built the room. Not as a nice-to-have community, but as a system that actually works when life gets loud. Where we crack on, on purpose. Where I have created the ecosystem fit for purpose, passion, potential, possibility and peer to peer wisdom.
And this is the part that matters just as much.
FoundHer Fire is not built on one pathway.
It is built on two.
Women who choose to back themselves and invest in themselves.
And organisations who choose to sponsor and support their women.
Not separate rooms. The same room.
Because the reality is this. The majority of women do not wait for permission, budget or a line manager to say yes. They self-fund. They invest. They decide they are worth it and they move.
And that matters. Because it changes the energy in the room.
It creates ownership.
It creates momentum.
It creates women who are not waiting, they are acting.
And alongside that, organisations step in, not as gatekeepers, but as partners. Sponsoring access, supporting growth and strengthening the women who are already holding so much inside their business.
This is where the model shifts.
Inspired by the work of Dame Stephanie Shirley, who built businesses that created opportunity, redistributed access and proved that you can be commercially successful and human centric at the same time, FoundHer Fire is designed to do the same in a modern leadership context.
A system where value flows both ways.
Where investment creates access.
Where success feeds back into the community.
Not charity. Not hierarchy.
Intelligent redistribution of opportunity.
And then there is the bridge between FoundHer Fire and Sarah Knight Consultancy.
Sarah Knight Consultancy is where organisations come to solve performance, leadership and culture challenges. It is where you design and deliver the thinking, the frameworks and the Practice Labs that shift behaviour inside teams and systems. It’s coaching, consultancy, self-leadership scaffolding systems to crack on, on purpose.
FoundHer Fire is a retention layer in organisations, the integration layer in life, load and leadership, of identity, peace and purpose and potential, the place where behaviour change sticks because women are supported in real time, not just trained in theory. It gives organisations a way to extend the impact of your consultancy work without relying on one-off interventions, and it gives women a space where they do not have to translate themselves to be understood. It's where women come to recover and reset after redundancy and exit conversations. It's where women come to rebuild and rethink differently. It's where they reclaim their fire whether business owner, founder or leader.
I am building an ecosystem fit for now, for real life, for how women actually live and lead.
A system that turns pressure into sustained performance and sustainable success built on reality, experience and the needs of the women in the room.
One philosophy, crack on, on purpose.
One operating system, self-leadership scaffolding.
Multiple delivery routes, coaching, consultancy, Practice Labs, FoundHer Fire ecosystem.
And one shared outcome.
Women who are backed.
Women who back themselves.
Women who find their fire and keep it.
